What is a Spriggan?

Many people ask this, and the best description is a "well hard faery".  

Spriggans come to us from Cornish Folklore and are described as very dark creatures. They are part of the Faery World and cousins of the playful and pleasant Piskies. They act like body guards of the Faery Realm.  As many Faery Folk, Spriggans can be tricksters, it is said that if you offend one or attack anything in the Faery Realm the Spriggans will take their revenge. 

They may even conjure a mist that will envelop you and loose you for ever.

Spriggan Mist has a fantastic Mascot called Sebastian. Supporting us through everything we do we have Sebastian learning new skills, dressing in the right clothes, up to antics including Spriggan Farts and Flirting with the Faery Queen.

The spriggan was the concept of David Cilia and named by Maxine. He has been ever brought to life since by the artwork of David. Katie Saunders has also drawn pictures and produced artwork of Sebastian and designing T shirts for the Band. Sebastian is also popular at The Enchanted Market and has featured in artwork by Tawny Owl for the leaflets and t shirts.
